Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Gadsden, AL
Salary: This position offers a comprehensive financial package including a competitive salary based on MGMA guidelines and incentive bonus based on WRUVs. Job Summary: This is a hospital employed practice setting for a Gastroenterology (GE) specialist to provide care for patients. We are looking for a Gastroenterologist with the ability to do EGD endoscopic procedures, preferably with ERCP and EUS. The current call is 1:4 and office space is available on the hospital campus or nearby.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Diagnose and treat diseases of the digestive system
– Perform endoscopic procedures, like colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies
– Consult with patients and their families regarding treatment options and diagnosis
– Examine patients to determine course of treatment
– Monitor effectiveness of treatments
– Prescribe medications and therapies
– Educate patients and their families on preventive care
– Perform endoscopic procedures, like colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies

Qualifications:
– Medical degree from an accredited institution
– Board certification in Gastroenterology
– Valid medical license
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Superior organizational and clinical skills
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Experience and Skills:
– Clinical experience in Gastroenterology
– Demonstrated proficiency in endoscopic procedures
– Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
– Understanding of medical laws and regulations
– Proficiency in computerized charting systems
– Familiarity with common Health Insurance Plans
– Demonstrated proficiency in endoscopic procedures
