We are recruiting for a Front End Web Developer for our client in Springfield, VA (22152) for a full-time employee role. Compensation depends on experience. The ideal candidate would have strong front end development experience, working with a design team and has worked with all or most of the technologies in the company’s stack – Figma, HTML, Node, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

The successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. They will be able to transform beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs and develop them with the team to ensure proper implementation. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design and have superior user interface design skills.

Developer Responsibilities:

  • Designing responsive web page layouts and conceptualizing ideas with various stakeholders
  • Presenting and communicating designs and key deliverables to team members and executive level stakeholders
  • QA, testing and continuously improving the design and functionality of the website
  • Establishing and/or maintaining guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Working with different content management systems
  • Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes
  • Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
  • Keeping current with advances in web technology and understand its effects of our business environment

Developer Requirements:

  • Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML, Node, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with version control like Git
  • Experience with conversions from WordPress to other platforms
  • Proficiency in user interface design software such as Figma
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Good understanding of content management systems and search engine optimization principles
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, a Visual Arts subject, or like degree
