Seeking an experienced Front-End Developer for our software technology client located in Houston, Texas.   

 

Role requires a local Houston area candidate as position requires 1 day per week in office and 4 days per week remote / WFH.

 

·       Base Salary up to $125k DOE plus 20% bonus opportunity and benefits

·       Flexible / Hybrid Role – One day per week in Houston Office (4 days WFH)

·       3+ years Front End Development Experience Required

·       Experience with JavaScript, React, NodeJS, .NETCore Required

 

 

Role Overview:

The front-end developer will be tasked to enhance web-based apps focused on the energy and environmental sectors.

 

The current data platform allows integration of multiple systems and ability to quickly analyze with ML, AI and other tools to create actionable insights for clients.

 

The data platform is built using front end technology including TypeScript, React, and Chakra UI. The backend runs as Docker images on Kubernetes with NodeJS and .NET Core.

 

Responsibilities:

• Build new features in a React based web app based on current roadmap

• Collaborate with team to review code changes (PRs)

• Work closely with Platform development teams

• Resolve bugs and other maintenance items

• Improve front-end development methodologies and tooling

 

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelors Degree and 5+ years in software development preferred

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a front-end developer required

• Experience working in an agile development team

 

Experience required or strongly preferred in:

• JavaScript

• Git

• Ticketing Systems (Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, etc.)

• REST APIs

• Typescript

• React

• .NET Core

• JS Build Tooling (Webpack/Vite)

• WebSocket
