We are an U.S. based recruiting firm providing permanent placement services. Currently, we are looking for a Finance and Accounting Automation Manager based in Ashland City, Tennessee.

Primary Function

Responsible for identifying and implementing business process solutions for the accounting and financial shared services teams to optimize resources, ensure compliance and improve customer experience. Role will be responsible for monthly and quarterly financial close responsibilities, journal entries and reconciliations, as well as developing and tracking key metrics, implementing automation solutions, including robotics BI, Tableau or similar tools, and working with other Finance areas to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal BTS or external contractors in implementing automation tools for projects on time and on budget.
Evaluate business processes for suitability for robotic processing automation identifying process inconsistencies.
Drive consistency in business processes and estimates across all North America segments.
Work with Tableau and Celonis data mining tool to identify critical KPI’s to be monitored and investigate unusual fluctuations.
Represent Finance in SAP S4 HANA transition discussions, leading change initiatives outside current processes.
Develop monthly Key Performance Indicators for senior leadership including research on fluctuations and root causes through discussions with Operations teams.
Communicate regularly with plant controllers, segment finance and corporate finance teams regarding business process changes.
With an understanding of internal controls, assist the Director of Financial Operations in ensuring compliance with SOX and maintaining an environment emphasizing internal controls for finance.
Lead monthly and quarterly financial close process including preparing account analysis and reviewing fluctuations.
Validate that balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared consistently and in accordance with internal standards each month. Approve reconciliations as needed.
Manage accounting staff directing initiatives and projects as they arise.
Address internal and external audit requests as the liaison for the business. Follow up with the business key contacts regarding open requests.
Approve new leases entered into the Lease Query software to ensure correct accounting classification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
7+years of related work experience in Finance or Accounting
Demonstrated experience/interest in automation tools and processes.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports and identify financial impacts of the data.
Experience with financial closing processes – journal entries, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
Leadership and problem-solving skills with an ability to resolve conflict.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information
Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential information.
Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities.
