Estimator (metal railings)

Seeking an Estimator for a growing manufacturer of aluminum railing products.  This Estimator would handle multiple priorities and deliverables and also interact professionally with customers, vendors, management. If you have exceptional organization and time management skills, and proven success with meeting deadlines then this position is for you.

Responsibilities:

The Estimator will ensure timely creation, presentation and project management bids for company products in the most cost efficient manner. Promote a high level of customer satisfaction through timely and correct installation of company products. The estimator will also:

• Research cost of materials, fabrication, installation, paint and engineering.
• Create, present and move bids forward.
• Collaborate with multiple departments (design, operations and financial personnel)
• Create schedule of values and cost budget, hand off to operations.
• Manage job changes and change orders.
• Job cost and variance analysis.

Some travel required (locally)

Qualified candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Related experience with estimating metal products and construction materials
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the installation of aluminum railing, metal, or steel (or comparable product)
• Experienced in construction environment safety protocols
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Clean driving record
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
• Willingness to grow the business and seek out new prospects and customers.
