Engineering Manager

Purpose:To effectively contribute to the company manufacturing operation in order that the design, process and manufacturing of products yields quality products that meet or exceed or customer’s expectations, with profitability that meets or exceeds what was quoted.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    To ensure timely and effective response to customer quality and/or product issues both individually and through the engineering organization.

    Support molding and secondary operations of all product lines through process and manufacturing engineering that maximizes productivity and quality and minimizes scrap and labor costs.

    Develop and maintain a bridge of communications that serves and responds to manufacturing, customer and quality concerns, suppliers, and internal personnel.

   Manage and lead ongoing cost reduction efforts through process improvements.

    Facilitate continuous improvement to facilitate the plant on its journey to becoming a world class operation.

    Assist in developing a culture among all associates which emphasizes ownership and accountability for quality.

    Responsible for developing an engineering department including hiring, training, motivating, scheduling, etc. to contribute to the overall success of the operation.

    Roles, responsibilities and authorities as identified in document 40134 – Leadership, Commitment, Planning Support and Monitoring Procedure sections 7.1.7, 7.1.8, and

Special

Requirements:

   Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent industry experience.

   Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment

    Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate in a manufacturing environment

   Knowledge of IATF 16494:2016, ISO9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015
