Director of Nursing (RN) – Med/Surg

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000 annually, plus bonus, full benefits, and signing bonus

Job Overview: The Director of Nursing for the Med/Surg Unit will be responsible for the 24-hour management of the assigned unit, ensuring that patient care meets the standard of care. This leadership role requires a dedicated individual with a strong clinical background and management experience to oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Med/Surg unit, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care and safety.
  • Manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and providing continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and hospital efficiency.
  • Monitor budget and resource allocation to ensure the unit’s financial health.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in strategic planning.

Required Skills and Certifications:

  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BCLS Certification.
  • RN Leadership Experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN required, MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years progressive management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a Med/Surg environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management in a healthcare setting.
