POSITION SUMMARY
The Director, Governmental/External Affairs will assist in the implementation and execution of Company’s externally-facing
strategy with a particular focus on State and Local Government and Regulatory relations. Working closely with
the VP of Regulatory Affairs, the Director will actively manage the government outreach and regulatory monitoring
activities of the Company. The Director will be responsible for regularly updating internal and external stakeholders on
the progress and status of designated activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Work to develop government and regulatory strategy for jurisdictions relevant to the Company’s operating assets.
 Develop, achieve required approvals, and execute strategic plans creating value for operating assets and opportunities for asset life extension and energy transition of certain operating assets
 Manage and direct third-party government and regulatory affairs consultants in the execution of regulatory strategy
 Communicate the issues, activities and impacts of regulatory actions to affected teams within the company.
 Provide reports of regulatory activity and manage impacts to the business.
 Lead the drafting and filing of regulatory documents to ensure a timely process allowing for the approval by management, legal and other relevant business groups. Maintain a document tracking system to control and organize regulatory documents and filings for quick retrieval and reference of the business groups.
 Attend meetings and hearings to monitor and communicate activities and relay appropriate communications.
 Work closely with various internal stakeholders including Development, Asset Management, Analytics, Origination and Commercial Operations groups to advance the company’s externally facing strategy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent required.
 7-10 years of experience in a Government Relations capacity with significant experience in the electric power industry either at a utility or wholesale power generator.
 Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office with a particular competence in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

 Excellent written and oral communications skills.
 Ability to organize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
 Ability to work with all levels of company personnel and succinctly communicate information.
 Ability to work within tight deadlines.
 Self-starter and creative thinker.
 Demonstrated high level of personal integrity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 Ability to travel (often on relatively short notice).
