If you are aligned with how we feel, then please considering bringing your passion, wisdom, experience, and leadership to our campus.  We are seeking a Dean of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Title IX Coordinator who will support and advance a campus culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural humility.  You will also manage the Title IX process for the college.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO AS THE DEAN OF DEI and TITLE IX COORDINATOR

 
DEI Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the diversity officer and a member of the President’s senior leadership team, overseeing the College’s commitment to DEI.
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote a thriving diverse, multicultural, equitable, ethical, and inclusive campus where students and employees can succeed in collaboration with multiple campus partners.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives that strengthen the DEI mission within overall institutional goals, establishing metrics and analytics to demonstrate progress.
  • Oversee staff in Multicultural Affairs, Spriritual/Religious Life, Intercultural Center, and Queer Center.
  • Manage departmental budget.
  • Meet regularly with campus partners such as the Committee on Diversity, multicultural student leaders, Student Life, Student Senate, Human Resources, and other campus partners.
  • Serve as the senior staff liaison for the DEI Committee for the Board of Trustees, coordinating the agenda for the meeting and reporting on the status of DEI objectives and achievements.
  • In partnership with Marketing, create impactful communications (i.e., electronic, social, and print media) designed to increase diversity and inclusion awareness for the College.
  • Partner and collaborate with campus leaders, faculty, students, staff, and internal and external stakeholders to address incidents of bias or unfair treatment throughout our community.
  • Support compliance, advocacy, and continued education. through various DEI development initiatives, creating opportunities for authentic dialogue.
  • Research and apply for grants to enhance overall DEI efforts on campus. 
  • Develop a community outreach plan that represents us in a very positive way.
 
Title IX Responsibilities:
  • Ensure College policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with Title IX and other federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate effective and best practices for campus wide prevention and response to sex/gender discrimination, sexual misconduct, and Title IX response and prevention with the deputy Title IX coordinators, office of student life, Health & Wellness, campus security, human resources, office of academic affairs, college counsel.
  • Direct Title IX complaint procedures, ensure trauma-informed and culturally aware manner processes, and coordinate provision of resources and support for individuals who experience sexual harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence, and sex discrimination, as well as support measures for Respondents of Title IX Complaints.
  • Oversee and ensure effective institutional support services for survivors of sexual harassment, sexual assault, or other forms of sexual misconduct by coordinating with Student Life (conduct and Dean of Students), registrar’s office, residence life, campus security, and other support services. Provide supportive measures when necessary.
  • Develop and implement appropriate Title IX training for faculty/staff, athletics department, and students.
  • Through various methods, keep stakeholders abreast of Title IX and other sexual misconduct legislative and institutional updates.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
  • 3-5 years progressive management or supervisory experience with direct reports or with cross functional teams.
  • Masters degree or above from an accredited institution.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and facilitating diversity and inclusion education and training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and assess programming and progress on strategic initiatives.
  • Completion of a criminal background check as required under policy.
