Chemical Process Engineer

Location: St. Louis, MO

 

Job

You will be one of five Process design engineers at a medium sized chemical plant responsible for initial scoping and preliminary design of small to large-scale capital projects ranging from 50k-2.5 million including assistance during startup. This medium sized chemical site uses state of the art DCS controls, batch reaction, and distillation producing liquid chemicals. Engineering groups include, Process Design Project, Production Reliability Engineers, and Controls Engineers. Selling points include mentorship from senior engineers, a pension plan, flex hours, a work/life balance, summer hours, and low turnover.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. Chemical Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience out of a plant producing chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or foods.  Candidates could be a Production Engineer with no process design experience, a Development Engineer, or a Process Design Engineer from an E&C firm
  • Pluses include experience with reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers and pumps
