Category Leader- Electronics

Seeking an energetic, driven, results-oriented individual for this highly visible and newly created role of Category Leader – Direct Materials Electrical and electronic commodities.

Responsibilities include:

• Develops and executes on sourcing strategies through a deep understanding of market dynamics, cost drivers and vendor landscapes
• Negotiates price and other cost reductions to achieve cost savings
• Managing Senior Level Supplier Relationships & Business plans
• Lead Cross-Functional collaboration to qualify alternative/source new suppliers
• Develop procurement strategies
• Manages complex global supply chains, cost models, inventory management strategies and quotation analysis
• Managing product changes and obsolescence of designs by working closely with engineering to find alternative suppliers.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or other STEM degree. Masters preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience with 5 years exposure to supply chain/procurement, managing strategic material purchases.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with developing category strategies and selling ideas
• Technically savvy, with experience working with design engineering on making changes to products, managing obsolescence of products and finding alternatives.
• Strong analytic skills, utilizing Excel/databases
