Job Title: Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician with board certification in anesthesia, or be expected to be board certified in anesthesia within two years of hire. This individual will be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthetic care to patients undergoing cardiac and other related procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

– Aiding in the preoperative evaluation of patients

– Administering anesthetic and monitoring patient vital signs

– Acting as an advisor to other medical staff

– Developing and implementing anesthetic plans

– Administering pain medication and sedation

– Coordinating patient care and document medical records

– Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations

– Attending and/or delivering presentations

Qualifications:

– Graduation from an approved and accredited school of medicine or osteopathy

– Completion of a residency in an accredited program in anesthesia

– Board certification in anesthesia or expected to be board certified within two years of hire

– Holds and maintains BCLS and ACLS certification

– Licensed to practice medicine in the state where the facility is located

– Proficient in computer technology, anesthesia equipment, and monitoring systems

– Skilled in utilizing anesthetic and pain control drugs, and related supplies

– Effective communication skills in speaking and writing the English language

Experience and Skills:

– Previous experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred

– Comprehensive knowledge of anesthetic techniques and medications

– Ability to make critical decisions in an emergency

– Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
