Chemical client is seeking a Capital Project Engineer to join the Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all phases of capital projects, from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards in chemical plants. Client offers excellent salary, bonus, and relocation options.
Responsibilities:
–Develop and manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets in accordance with company goals and objectives.
–Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards throughout all phases of the project.
–Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
–Manage project resources, including staff, equipment, and materials.
–Track and report project progress, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
–Communicate project status-updates to stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and other stakeholders.
–Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous improvement.
–Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, and other project-related documentation.
–Mentor and train junior project managers and team members.
Qualifications
–BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 5-15 years experience in capital project management within a chemical manufacturing facility.
–Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
–Demonstrated knowledge of safety and environmental compliance regulations.
