ASSOCIATE – BUSINESS LITIGATION

Location: Tampa, FL or Miami, FL

Our client, a highly respected national law firm, is seeking a qualified and motivated Associate to join their Business Litigation team in Tampa or Miami, Florida. 

Candidate Profile:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Bar Admission in Florida.
• 3-5 years of substantive business litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice, laboratory medicine, and professional liability matters.
• Clerkship experience and employment litigation are preferred but not required.
• Strong research and writing skills, with a desire to develop litigation skills, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, working with expert witnesses, and preparing for trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of business litigation cases, particularly in medical malpractice and professional liability matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Engage in trial preparation, collaborate with expert witnesses, and represent clients in court.
• Participate in depositions and motion practice in both federal and state courts.
