BMET Imaging Specialist II
Manages multiple projects simultaneously that could include medical equipment specification gathering, ordering, and installation over several sites. Provides advanced levels of equipment and/or departmental service and support and performs preventive maintenance, quality assurance inspections, and installation.
Education – Required: Associate’s Degree Electronics or Biomedical Engineering
Education – Preferred: Attendance at five or more equipment-specific training courses related to the equipment specific specialty area of expertise (extensive hands on experience may be considered equivalent to specific training courses).
Experience – Required: 2 years Progressive experience in performing direct component level repair and maintenance on both general and model-specific equipment in the medical imaging field.
Experience – Preferred: 5 years Progressive experience in performing direct component level repair and maintenance on both general and model-specific equipment in the medical imaging field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Required:
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote hospital sites and to periodically conform to a flexible work schedule on an as-needed basis.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic equipment, quality assurance procedures, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Certifications – Required: CBET – Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician
