Job Description
This position is full-time and will work 12-hour Night shifts.
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for assisting the nurse manager/director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. In collaboration with the nurse manager/director, assumes responsibility for the management and staffing of the unit. The ANM manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate. The scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care. The ANM maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or bachelor’s degree completed within 3 years of accepting position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital
  • 2 years Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
Leadership experience
  • Shared Governance experience
