Growing, successful company is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead their accounting team.  The Accounting Manager will report to the Owner and will be responsible for the daily accounting activities for a stable organization.  In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Manage up to three accounting professionals in the accounting department
  • Participate on the company’s management team 
  • Lead the month and year-end closing process for the company
  • Set goals for the accounting team and create a road map to completion 
  • Complete financial analysis on a daily basis
  • Oversee payroll, A/P and A/R functions 
  • Generate reports to assist in managing the business and understanding cost 
  • Oversee the cash flow process and manage banking relationships  
  • Extract data and generate reports in MS Excel 
  • Complete journal entries and reconciliation
  • Lead the site budgeting processes 
  • Educate team members on accounting procedures and analysis 
  • Communicate with team members to maintain and improve accounting processes
  • Other duties as directed by management
Candidates should be able to communicate at all levels and work in a “hands-on” capacity.  Candidates should be approachable, energetic, detail oriented, inquisitive, and have a high sense of urgency.  Individuals should enjoy working as a team and leading and coaching their staff.  Medical benefits are available day one of employment.  Other benefits include dental, vision, paid holidays, vacation, and short-term and long-term disability.  
 
REQUIREMENTS for the Accounting Manager:
1. A Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in accounting 
2. At least three years in a similar lead accounting and/or finance role 
3. Experience overseeing others 
4. Experience with cost accounting functions 
5. Experience with treasury management, including banking, loans, cash flow, etc. 
6. Experience with month-end and year-end closing
7. Experience with the budgeting processes 
8. Strong financial analysis 
9. Microsoft Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. CPA certification 
2. Tax accounting 
3. Experience supporting multiple companies 

4. Privately-held company experience
