Key Account Manager
Our client is a Tech Forward, Data Driven & SaaS based research firm
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of proposals and pricing to ensure a consistent win rate
- Identify new product development opportunities and coordinate with the development & product teams as the “voice” of the customer
- Oversee the kick-off and eventual handoff of projects to the service delivery or customer success teams
- Work in tandem with customer success to develop and execute education and training programs that drive engagement and retention
- Build relationships across functions to identify stakeholders for new opportunities and successfully further penetrate the account utilizing these relationships
- Act as a key liaison to other departments in identifying and creating consensus for key account needs provided by operations, marketing, development, and support
- Drive account penetration and revenue growth for assigned accounts
- Responsible and accountable for achieving net sales and revenue targets
- Develop effective sales programs that increase awareness, penetration, and user adoption at the account level
- Provide consultative technical sales expertise by giving product demonstrations and speaking at client events/meetings as a product expert
- Track sales performance against objectives, inform on results and strategize ways to improve performance
- Work across the organization to build out strategy for new business outreach as well as nurturing programs that will re-engage past clients and grow existing client relationships.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of successful, consultative, outside sales/new business development experience, working at a market research firm, or DIY platform, or panel/sample company.
- Proven success in developing and owning new sales funnel via prospecting
- Capable of leveraging existing relationships to drive new prospects within target account base
- Highly disciplined, self-motivated individual who can point to objective measures of success in cold prospecting, closing sales, and achieving revenue targets
- Experience as a trusted advisor and consultant to clients, not only to win their business but also, to help them achieve their objectives and thereby building their trust and loyalty
- Deliver compelling capabilities presentations via conference calls
- Have a friendly and constructive manner of interacting with clients, characterized by outstanding verbal and written communication, and by doing so contribute to a culture of openness and respect
- Experience or comfort in an entrepreneurial and highly data-driven environment with aggressive goals
- Experience selling technology products at senior levels
- Self-starter with the ability to solve problems and improvise to achieve sales goals
- Advanced influencing and negotiating skills required to gain buy-in from internal and external clients
